Therapeutic Link is a clinical and relational consultancy working in the human services sector. We service those living with mental health support needs, clients with disability, as well as their families and wider support networks.

Our mission is to work with vulnerable individuals in a collaborative manner and support them to create positive, self determined change. We do so by focusing on providing quality, evidence based and applicable services to our clients while creating strong and enduring relationships through effective and ongoing communication, transparency and relational security.
Therapeutic Link is committed to ongoing improvement and striving to demonstrate best possible practice in regard to the planning and delivery of clinical, psychological and behaviour intervention services to those that we serve.

Julio Urquia
Therapeutic Link Founder
Psychologist & Behaviour Support Practitioner
Julio draws on over 12 years of experience working in the human services sector in several varied roles including working as a Disability Support Worker, Day Program Coordinator, Clinician, Therapist, Behaviour Support Practitioner, and Psychologist. His varied experience provides him with a unique perspective and understanding of the challenges related to affecting positive change. Julio is passionate, driven, and focused on providing authentic and meaningful support services for his clients.

He is experienced in completing complex clinical assessments and the design and delivery of personalised intervention and skill development supports to children and adults with disabilities, mental health difficulties, and backgrounds of trauma and abuse. Julio is experienced in providing clinical support to teams, families and individuals, and firmly believes in a genuine, relational, and collaborative approach to service delivery.

In his psychology practice, Julio is currently working with both children and adults in therapy while utilising a range of evidence based modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy.

Julio is also a member of the Association for Positive Behaviour Support Australia (APBSA) and The Association of Psychologists in Developmental Disability Services.

Carla McKinnon
Clinical Consultant
Senior Behaviour Support Practitioner
Carla is a registered behaviour support practitioner with a Bachelor of Social Science (psychology). Carla is passionate about the foundation of behaviour support, improving quality of life, and supporting people to connect to meaningful ways of achieving this for them.
Carla has 7 years of experience working in the human services sector in varied roles, from disability support work, community participation program team leader, and therapy assistant roles. This background has informed a perspective that prioritises the importance of relationship building and understanding the strengths and barriers in a person’s ecological system. This experience has also underpinned recognition of the positive outcomes associated with an interdisciplinary approach.
Carla is experienced in delivering individualised supports, including functional assessments, comprehensive behaviour support plans, skill development and training, Carla believes in a client focused and collaborative approach to service delivery.

Kirrily Weatherstone
Clinical Consultant
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Kirrily takes an inclusive and compassionate approach to supporting people of all abilities, with a strong focus on understanding behaviour, strengthening relationships, and improving overall quality of life. Holding a Graduate Diploma in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counselling, she has experience applying evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and strengths-based therapies to support meaningful, lasting change.
Kirrily works with both young people and adults and has experience supporting clients who have struggled with a range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and relationship difficulties. She also has experience supporting neurodiverse clients and is skilled in risk assessment and safety planning, creating a calm and respectful space where individuals feel safe and valued.
With a background in communications and clinical support, Kirrily values clear, collaborative engagement and uses curiosity and empathy to guide her informed approach to offering personalised behaviour support.

With a strong background in healthcare administration and a passion for delivering exceptional service, Nicole ensures the smooth and efficient running of our practice.
From overseeing daily operations to supporting staff and enhancing patient experiences, she plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, organised, and patient-focused environment.

Dedicated to continuous improvement and high-quality care, Nicole works behind the scenes to make sure everything runs seamlessly—so our practitioners can focus on our clients.
